In the first quarter of 2021, wellness apps have seen varied performance on the unified platform in Australia. Sensor Tower provides a detailed look into the trends of these top applications.

Calm, a leading app in the wellness category, showed an increasing revenue trend throughout the quarter, ending with approximately $108K USD in the last week of March. Downloads began at 15K in the last week of December and experienced a peak at nearly 20K in the first week of January, before gradually declining to just under 10K by the end of March. Active users surged to 122K in the first week of January but saw a slight decrease over the quarter, ending at around 99K.

Headspace: Sleep & Meditation also saw a revenue increase, peaking at approximately $86K in mid-February. The app's downloads had a notable spike with nearly 22K in the third week of January, but this figure dropped to about 10K by the end of March. The weekly active users for Headspace showed a high of around 98K in mid-February, with a slight decline to 86K by the quarter's close.

For Sleep Cycle - Sleep Tracker, revenue fluctuated but generally trended upwards, ending the quarter at around $15K. Downloads remained fairly consistent, with a slight increase from 3.9K to 4.3K over the quarter. Active users showed growth from 62K in late December to over 71K in early February, before slightly decreasing to 65K by the end of March.

Fabulous: Daily Habit Tracker experienced a revenue peak at approximately $19K in late January, followed by a dip and another peak at the same level by the end of March. Downloads saw a high of 9.6K in the third week of January, followed by a decrease and then a rise to 8.6K towards the quarter's end. The app's active users grew steadily from 24K to over 35K throughout the quarter.

Waking Up: Meditation & Wisdom showed an increase in revenue, peaking at around $18K in the second week of January, then a decline, with a slight recovery to $13K by the end of March. Downloads remained relatively low compared to other apps, starting at 1.5K and ending the quarter at just under 1.2K. Active users for Waking Up had a modest increase from 8.5K to 9K in early March, before a small drop to 8.5K.
